Ways to Stay Calm When a Lot is Going On

Do you ever remember hearing about the Lazy Days of Summer? I don’t know about you, but that is not what my summers are like, at all. It seems that we ramp up for summer as the spring progresses.
Between a large yard with grass, flowers, trees, shrubs, and a gazebo, and a vegetable garden there is much work to be done outside. We also have competitive soccer (training, games, and some tournaments). Then there is the tiny detail of running a business. And a house!
A person could really become quite tired from all this laziness. So here are a few ways to keep you calm when there is a lot going on.
1. Remember to sit down once in a while and enjoy the fruits of your labour (figuratively and literally)
2. Break things down into smaller tasks that can easily be accomplished.
3. Some days you’ll have to be satisfied with progress, not completion.
4. Always remember that not everyone works on your timelines.
5. Plan meals in advance and make sure you have everything you need in advance.
6. Booked social events with friends and family, so that it happens.
7. Reward and thank anyone who gives a little assistance (children, spouse, etc.)
8. You can always say NO.
9. Be grateful for this moment; don’t always be reaching for the next moment.
10. Be present to the beauty of your life – if you’re busy, you are blessed
